We Do the Work - Discounted Lives( Library/High School/Non Profit Price)

2005 IMDb SD 28 minutes

We Do the Work talks to workers at K-Mart's high tech distribution centers who say wages and working conditions are rock bottom and their treatment is second rate. The globalization of the economy means more products are made outside the U.S., moving American workers into distribution jobs. This program looks at the struggle for a first contract at the Greensboro, North Carolina, distribution center that went beyond employee/employer relations and ultimately involved the entire community.
