No ads

InstantWatcher tries to be very sparing in displaying ads, but there are a few places were banner ads crop up. When you have an InstantWatcher Plus account and log in, the Google ads go away.

Declutter your instant Netflix queue with saved titles

Save_feature Save_feature2 Save_feature3

InstantWatcher Plus lets you save instant titles into a second, virtual queue of titles, which exists only here on InstantWatcher, separate from your official Netflix instant titles queue. You can also move titles back and forth between your saved titles and your Netflix instant queue. Saving titles is fast and handy, and the InstantWatcher Plus interface for managing your saved and queued titles is clean and enjoyable to use.

Track the titles you've queued and saved

Track_feature1 Track_feature2

InstantWatcher Plus will keep track of titles that you've queued or saved while you're browsing.

Give access to subusers

Subuser_feature

InstantWatcher Plus lets you set up subusers, which are virtual users who can queue and/or save instant titles to your Netflix/InstantWatcher account.

Why would you want to set up subusers? Say you have a Roku box and you want to let other people queue Netflix titles to it without giving them full access to your Netflix account. Just set up an InstantWatcher subuser account for them, and they'll be able to queue instant titles to your Roku box from any web browser and you won't have to worry.

You could also set up subuser accounts so that your friends can recommend instant Netflix titles and do the legwork of finding and queueing them for you. Since saved and queued titles are associated with the subuser accounts that added them, it's easy to see who suggested what.

Restrict the content subusers can watch

Rules_feature Rules_feature2

After you set up subusers, you can forbid subusers from queueing or saving certain kinds of titles. You can block subusers from adding titles based on MPAA rating, genre, and even cast member or director (in case you get too freaked out by David Lynch movies or can't stand the sight of actor or actress X).

How this works

After you sign up for an InstantWatcher Plus account, you'll be redirected to a Netflix page that asks you to allow InstantWatcher to access your Netflix account. InstantWatcher will use this access to retrieve the titles in your Netflix instant queue, to add titles back to that queue, and to remove titles from your queue as directed by you and/or your authorized subusers. InstantWatcher will not retrieve any other data from your Netflix account without your consent. InstantWatcher won't download your rental history, and it won't remember what titles you added to your Netflix instant queue after you remove them.

Moreover, there's no way for InstantWatcher to access your Netflix password or credit card information. InstantWatcher uses the secure and Netflix-approved OAuth protocol to link to your Netflix account. For more information about this mechanism, click here.
