After Indians attack a wagon train, the Three Mesquiteers -- Stony (Robert Livingston), Rusty (Raymond Hatton) and Rico (Duncan Renaldo) -- volunteer to guide the leaderless group to their new farms, where they learn that they've been swindled by corrupt officials, including Judge Pratt (Noah Beery). The settlers manage to carve out good lives for themselves, but when Pratt tries to force them from their homes, the Mesquiteers ride to the rescue.
