This madcap comedy stars Don Knotts as Luther Heggs, a newspaper printer who longs to be a reporter. No one thinks he has the chops for it, though, so he decides to write an article about a ghost he's seen at a haunted house where there's been an unsolved murder. But the locals think he's telling a tall tale, so Luther makes a bid to spend a night at the spook-filled abode. Will he survive? Even better, will he get the scoop?
