American Wedding

With high school a distant memory, Jim (Jason Biggs) and Michelle (Alyson Hannigan) are getting married -- and in a hurry, since Jim's grandmother is sick and wants to see him walk down the aisle -- prompting Stifler (Seann William Scott) to throw the ultimate bachelor party. And Jim's dad (Eugene Levy) is reliable as ever, doling out advice no one wants to hear. The disc includes an extended unrated version and the original theatrical version.

American Wedding celebrates limited comic imagination with the predictable outcomes of most dead-on-arrival WB sitcoms. full review

Wesley Morris, Boston Globe

American Wedding has the decided taste of day-old bakery -- although, of course, that could just be some errant body fluid. full review

Terry Lawson, Detroit Free Press

A worn-out gross-out.

Peter Travers, Rolling Stone

Funny when it needs to be. I don't know what more you can ask from the third installment of a series that has gone further than anyone reasonably could have expected.

Robert Denerstein, Denver Rocky Mountain News

The formula has long since hardened into a flaky mess. full review

David Ng, Village Voice

If there was ever a case of Hollywood's over-stroking a formula to squeeze every last drop out of it, American Wedding is it. full review

Stephanie Zacharek,

If you do not bring pride, good taste or sense to this third American Pie installment, you'll have a good time. full review

Desson Thomson, Washington Post

Dylan delivers a comedy just on the high side of exactly what's expected. full review

Mike Clark, USA Today

At this wedding, you can have your cake and barf it, too. full review

Geoff Pevere, Toronto Star

What makes American Wedding click is that it doesn't pretend to be something it's not.

Tina Potterf, Seattle Times

Still has all the crude, rude fun of its predecessors.

Tom Long, Detroit News

Even suckers for the first two American Pie courses will find this third helping indigestible. full review

Bob Campbell, Newark Star-Ledger

Has some gut-busting moments, but for the most part the thrill is gone from what the ads describe as the 'thrilling climax' of this gross-out franchise.

Lou Lumenick, New York Post

An aimless charade of doggy poo, latex breasts and really, really bad language. full review

Jack Mathews, New York Daily News

[An] uneven but undeniably sweet movie. full review

Rene Rodriguez, Miami Herald

This is the funniest of the three movies. The new characters and the tighter focus are just what the series needed. full review

Eric Harrison, Houston Chronicle

A better film than anyone should normally expect in this genre. full review

Ray Conlogue, Globe and Mail

The strain and desperation are apparent from the first scene. full review
