A crazed man who has killed a number of people with an ax is arrested by the small town's sheriff, Dan Stevens. But this is no ordinary psycho, and he breaks the handcuffs and heads for the hills. The sheriff finds that he must destroy this murderous killer who has been made indestructible through genetic engineering.

Conflict arises between a steelworker and his son. The father wants the boy to have a chance to make more of himself than he did, but the son wants to follow in his father's footsteps and become a steel-worker himself.

The film is three stories about one story, featuring a quirky cast of characters living on the edge, some in the desert, others passing through.

Featuring a cast of celebrity look-alikes, this satire spoof follows the daily operations of a National Enquirer-esque tabloid and its employees.
