A depressed Shakthivel meets Anjali on a train journey. Though he dislikes her at the start, his feelings change, until she asks him for a strange favour.

Karthik (Naga Chaitanya), an engineering graduate and an aspiring filmmaker falls instantly for Jessie (Samantha), a Malayali girl who is a year older to him and has a hard time wooing her.
