The film starts off with Vaishakan (Manoj K Jayan) a man aspiring to be a film director, telling his dreadful story to a film producer named Achayan (Jagathy Sreekumar). He gets told from Achayan that Vaishakan's story is not worthy of being a film produced by him.

Appu, a nine-year-old boy, is in a moral predicament. Appu has failed his examination and the teacher has asked him to get his father's signature on the answer sheet.

Upon foreseeing his own death,a writer goes on a quest to look for his childhood love. Accompanied by his girlfriend,he visits his hometown,only to find that she is missing.
