When he meets Sylvia (Cummings), a small-town innocent who thinks his predictions are real, Chandler does the indecent thing and promptly marries the girl. But when she finally wises up and insists he go straight, Chandler heads to Park Avenue, where his phony act leads to murder, with Sylvia left holding the bag.
