It’s been three years since Jack and his friends graduated from film school. Three years of answering phones, picking up laundry and making sure the boss’s dachshund gets the egg shampoo not the herbal rinse. They were supposed to be making movies by now. Producing, writing, directing. Instead they are part of the underclass, the great fraternity of wanabees, that are the Hollywood assistants. But all that is about to change...It begins with a piece of fictitious script coverage they wrote up as joke. The coverage falls into the hands of Jack’s boss, a megalomaniacal producer, and that’s when the heat starts. Now, every accident is opportunity in disguise. How hard would it be to take a piece of phony coverage and turn it into a green lit picture? A few lies? A touch of grifting? A little bit of blackmail? It’s not really all that different from the way most movies get made. There’s only one problem. They’ve spent the last three years bitching about the people who run Hollywood and now, in order to get their film made, they’re about to become everything they despise.

Chosen by the man himself, the Kevin Smith Movie Club presents Losers Take All. "The Fingers," are a punk-pop band stumbling and staggering their way from girls to gigs. The band is faced with the unlikely opportunity of committing the ultimate rock ‘n’ roll sin: selling out. However, they must choose between staying true to their indie roots or climbing into bed with mainstream, corporate rock.
