A secluded fictional village in pre-Independence Madras is under the control of an atrocious general. The story spans three days and follows the lives of illiterate and oppressed villagers as they are ignorant of India becoming Independent. A local youngster leads a revolt to free them all.

After clumsily plucking feathers off a spooky dreamcatcher, a family finds itself in a nightmarish realm where injuries and death manifest in reality.
