Inspired by the true story of the Portuguese King Dom Pedro who unearthed his beloved (Ines) to crown her queen after her death, this film recounts this unparalleled passion story over three eras: - in the Middle Ages (original story), in the present time where Pedro and Ines are architects in a big city and, in a dystopian future, where people flee from the cities to the countryside to survive.

In the middle of the 2008 global financial crisis, Vanda finds herself alone and broke, with two children to raise. She embarks on a string of bank heists using a blonde wig and a toy gun and, in the process, becomes a folk hero.
