During the Croatian War of Independence, a small group of soldiers are ambushed by rebels and take refuge in a vacant house as they fight to survive.

One morning, after a routine mine laying campaign, Ilija learns his younger brother Goran was killed far beyond enemy lines. As Ilija investigates what happened to his brother, begins to expose a network of corruption involving not only the military, but also high-ranking officials.
