Subplots in this classic beach movie of the 1960s include: a group of beach teens become involved in a kidnapping of a singing idol; a mermaid falls in love with a nitwit; a villainous "drunkard"; and motorcycle gangs.

A Martian scout sent to Earth to prepare for an invasion lands amidst a teenage swim party and tries to convince everyone that he really is who he says. Meanwhile, a plot is afoot by two neighbot con men to steal the hostess's money. The Martian falls in love with one of the girls at the party, thwarts the robbery and calls off the invasion.

Frankie and Dee Dee are disappointed to find that their favourite surfing spot has been taken over by a group of bodybuilders. A wealthy countess complicates things further when she attempts to woo Frankie.

With Frankie away in Tahiti with his navel reserve unit, Dee Dee and the rest of the beach part gang are involved in a new series of adventures. These are spurred by an opportunistic advertising man, a good-looking male newcomer and a mysterious and beautiful girl named Cassandra, plus an oddly appearing and disappearing pelican.
