Smita Tambe

A newly arranged marriage. An oddball couple shoved together in a small Mumbai shack. Awkward and alone-together, unpredictable Uma (Radhika Apte) does her best to cope with the heat, her total lack of domestic skills, and her bumbling spouse. However, the nocturnal world of Mumbai provokes a disturbing transformation that forces her to embrace her darkest impulses.

Confronted by the sudden brutal murder of his wife, his own history of violence and a System that wants him crushed at any cost, immigrant labourer Bala (aka Dasru) flees with his infant daughter, Joram from a metropolis to his erstwhile home in distant forests, to negotiate their survival with a bloody past that he had mistakenly thought was left behind for good.

Bioscope is an interesting project where four different directors have teamed up to make a single film. The film has four independent stories. Ravi Jadhav's Mitra is based on a poem by Sandip Khare. Ahire's Dil_E-Nadan is based on a Gazhal by Mirza Galib. Ek Hota Kaau is directed by Viju Mane and based a poem by Saumitra. Girish Mohite's Bail is based on a folk poet Loknath Yashwant.

A party among friends turns chaotic when they face a power cut. The sound of a kiss followed by a slap in the dark adds to the chaos.
