The Red Kitchen
(1980)The film starts with a marriage celebration in which the men remain seated at the table waiting to be served by the women - including the bride. At one point the women rebel, refuse to spend all their time cooking and cleaning in the kitchen, and in a reaction against the men engage in a pagan festival.
Kid Sentiment
(1968)On a fine summer afternoon, Louis and François, two Quebec City teenagers, go cruising on Dufferin Terrace. They meet two beautiful girls, Andrée and Michèle, and bring them back to François's house while his parents are absent in the hope of sleeping with them. They listen to music, dance, drink, but don't communicate. Since hardly anything happens, the director stops the film and talks directly with his actors about the image of youth they should project.
