In the local cottage hospital in Carhaix, Brittany, the peaceful maternity unit has few births to deal with. Mathilde, a midwife, Firmine, a pediatric nurse, and Louise, owner of the Carhaix bowling alley team up to stop the unit closing.

Years after surviving the atrocities of Auschwitz, old friends reunite at the seaside, trying to close the door on the past and celebrate life’s joys.
