When a brother and sister undertake an archaeological excavation of their late grandmother's house, they embark on a magical-realist journey in search of what life remains in the objects that are left behind.

Set in New York City, a homicidal woman becomes obsessed with her shy, recently divorced neighbor. She goes as far as spying on her with a telescope and setting up an attack by a knife-brandishing brute in order to tape record her frightened reaction.
