Dara, an ethnologist documenting houses being targeted for demolition, meets Lucek, a young Polish construction worker who is building a tunnel that will connect Denmark and Germany. Meanwhile, Käthe works on the ferry, steadily moving passengers, their stories, and goods to and fro.
