On the morning of his 16th birthday, Australian schoolboy Otto decides to come out of the closet. While his dad is supportive, his mother takes a while to process the news. But Otto's real problem is at school, where he's on the receiving end of a lot of bullying. What scares him most of all, however, is how his best friend Max--on whom he's hiding a massive secret crush--will react.
