Two failed actors who inherited a good deal of money decide to invest this fortune in the arts. They buy a theater to stage Le Cid, a 5-act old French tragicomedy written by Pierre Corneille. Failure. They then try movies and subsequently television, but they only succeed in making fools of themselves. They will end up as a couple of stand-up comedians: Ding and Dong.
