For the past 16 months, young women have been turning up dead in a field of asphodel flowers in Stockholm, Sweden. Through a special dispensation from the NYPD, New York Detective Tommy Conley (Dominic Monaghan) is sent to observe and assist the Stockholm Police Department as they attempt to solve the grisly murders.

When her husband leaves her for a younger woman, a cash-strapped reporter volunteers to be a pharmaceutical test subject, with unexpected results.
