Filmmaker Morgan Spurlock explores the world of product placement in "POM Wonderful Presents: The Greatest Movie Ever Sold", a film about advertising; completely paid for by advertising, with brands which are all integrated transparently into the film.

Two young women working at a film studio form a close friendship. One of them is in love with an older married man who moves in higher social circles. The other distrusts men as a group. But they both find themselves drawn to men who are distant and inaccessible, although they can’t relate to the gender roles and media images of women pushed by men. They fantasize about the ideal man until the truth dawns on them: he doesn’t exist! The dream man is also a media image.
