Jagteshwar (Tarsem Jassar), a librarian, has obsessive - compulsive personality disorder (OCPD), which people around him have accepted both at work and home. Ideologies clash and things change when Amberdeep (Wamiqa Gabbi), a high-spirited girl in nature and Jagteshwar shares a roof.

Jaspal, a mid level civil servant, falls in love with Harman, a school teacher, and wants to marry her. Harman's father withholds his consent because he wants his daughter to marry a lower ranked civil servent and pressures Jaspal to do whatever it takes to achieve it.

The film showcases the love of Guddi and Manjinder, who belong to different economic backgrounds, and their struggle to stay together despite hardships.
