Overview

Three short stories, each focused on a man and a woman. In "The Man in a Brooks Brothers Suit," a businessman pursues a woman aboard a train. In "Dusk Before Fireworks," a flapper's romantic evening is interrupted by constant phone calls. In "Hills Like White Elephants," a couple discusses the woman's pregnancy while traveling in Spain.
