Overview

Santosh is recently widowed and therefore considered a liability in a community where casteism and misogyny are an inextricable part of life. Sandhya Suri’s deft thriller is a complex character study of a female cop whose moral conflict lays bare the oppression perpetuated in the name of caste. Santosh was made with the support of the BFI, awarding National Lottery funding.
